CSS Class of 2010, UNC-Chapel Hill Class of 2016
After I graduated CSS, I attended early college high school on Lenoir Community College’s campus. The program requires students to stay for five years; however, I completed early college within four. I obtained my associate’s in arts (for free) and high school diploma. It was a great opportunity and I would recommend that any student who wants to get ahead in their academic career apply to this program.
Keep going, no one can stop you but yourself.
When things got difficult I tried harder and prayed all of the time. I’m a believer. My faith in God and prayer helped me along the way. Writing down your feelings, crying, exercising, etc. are all things that could potentially help you get through your difficult times.
The thought of being one step closer to my dreams motivated me. Making myself proud, my family, and my community is what fueled me to keep going. If you truly want to obtain something in life you will strive for it! Keep going, no one can stop you but yourself.
Currently, I am completing my last semester at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill as an Exercise and Sport Science major. I have been attending my school for two years instead of the full four because of early college. I do research in UNC’s Human Movement Science lab pertaining to physical therapy patients. After I graduate, it is my desire to attend graduate school for Physical Therapy at Baylor University.
