Weekly Update 4/17/16

Good evening parents and students.  This is Mrs. Amy Jones with your weekly message.

In athletics this week, the baseball team will be in action against Rochelle Middle School at Bill Faye Park on Monday, April 18th.  The game starts at 4:00.  The baseball, softball, and soccer teams will play on Wednesday against Frink Middle School at North Lenoir High School.  The games will start at 4:00 and we need volunteers to help run the concession stand.  If you can volunteer, please contact me or Coach Spinnati as soon as possible.

On Thursday, April 21st, first and second grade students will have field day starting at 8:45am.  Kindergarten students will have field day starting at 12:00 on Thursday.  Third, fourth, and fifth graders will have field day on Friday, April 22nd.  Third graders will complete from 8:45 – 10:45 and fourth & fifth graders will compete from 12:30 -2:20.

Our season of testing is quickly approaching and we will need proctors for our upcoming End of Grade tests.  The testing dates are May 27th, May 31, June 1st, and June 2nd.  If you can volunteer, please contact Katy Wyborny or the school office to let us know.  Even if you can only do one day, it will help us tremendously.

8th Grade social tickets are on sale now for $15. 8th graders need to see Ms. Lancaster immediately after the morning announcements to purchase tickets.

Unfortunately, we are still making corrections to our third nine weeks report cards and were not able to send them home this past week.  Our staff is working diligently to complete the process but every student has to be reviewed individually and then corrections are being made.  This takes a tremendous amount of time.  Thank you for your patience as we verify that all students’ report cards reflect accurate attendance information.  We will send home corrected report cards as soon as we are able to do so.  If you have any questions, please contact the school office.

I hope everybody has a wonderful week and Go Cougars.
